SDG Contest on a national level for Central Asian countries and Afghanistan

DKU Natural Resources Institute in cooperation with CAY4W network is starting the preparation for the SDG Contest on a national level.

 

The national stage of the contest will be held this spring in partner-universities across Central Asia and Afghanistan with the financial support from Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and World Bank.

 

The contest will give the opportunity for university students and young specialists to get familiar with the IWRM toolbox and the SDG mechanisms developed by GWP and the UN, especially concerning the SDG № 6,7,9,13.

 

The contest will be a great platform for international and professional cooperation between young specialists from whole Central Asia and Afghanistan.

 

The topics of the contest will include:

  • Integrated Water Resources Management (SDG 6);
  • Climate change and clean energy (SDG 7 and 13);
  • Industrialization, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9).

In order to apply, it is necessary to fulfil all the conditions in the application form.

 

The deadline for all countries is March 15, 2021.

 

Turkmenistan: March 30, 2021 (online)

Kazakhstan: April 5, 2021 (online and offline)

Uzbekistan: April 9, 2021 (offline)

Tajikistan: April 14, 2021 (offline)

Kyrgyzstan: April 16, 2021 (offline)

Afghanistan: April 29, 2021 (offline with the possibility of including juries online)
