Conference "INTEGRATION, PARTNERSHIP AND INNOVATION IN CONSTRUCTION SCIENCE AND EDUCATION"
INTEGRATION, PARTNERSHIP, INNOVATION
Nov. 17, 2020
DKU co-organized the VII International Scientific Conference "INTEGRATION, PARTNERSHIP AND INNOVATION IN CONSTRUCTION SCIENCE AND EDUCATION" (IPICSE 2020).
From November 11 to 14, 2020, the VII International Scientific Conference "Integration, Partnership and Innovation in Construction Science and Education" (IPICSE 2020) was held in online format.
The conference was organized by the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NRU MGSU, Russia) and Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME, Uzbekistan) in partnership with the Kazakh-German University (DKU, Almaty, Kazakhstan), "Uzbekgidroenergo" JSC (Uzbekistan), Samarkand State Architecture and Civil Engineering Institute named after Mirzo Ulughbek (Uzbekistan) and Karshi Engineering-Economics Institute (KEEI, Uzbekistan).
On the opening day of the online conference, Dr. Barbara Janusz-Pawletta, DKU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, delivered a welcoming speech. Dr. Janusz-Pawletta spoke about the university and DKU educational programs, as well as about current activities and projects. She stressed the importance of promoting the Sustainable Development Goals, renewable energy and an integrated approach to global challenges. In this regard, she mentioned the DKU Master's Program "Integrated Water Resources Management," which aims to help solve water and environmental problems and strengthen regional cooperation. Dr. Janusz-Pawletta also reported on the establishment of the new Master's Programme "Strategic Management of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency." In conclusion, she noted that there is great potential for cooperation in the framework of this conference, thanked all the organizers of the event and wished productive work to all participants.
The program of the event included seven scientific and practical seminars on construction materials, construction reliability and safety, engineering and smart technologies, modeling/mechanics of construction structures, construction management, hydraulic construction, reclamation, mechanization, electrification, agriculture and green energy.
Alexey Kobzev, Manager of Renewable Energy and Climate Change Projects of the Kazakh-German University, was one of the moderators of the session "Mechanization, Electrification, Agriculture and Renewable Energy Sources." More than 30 participants attended the session. Experts asked each other questions and actively interacted during the session. We considered such areas as energy and resource-saving structures, innovative technologies in the agro-industrial complex, automation of technological processes in irrigation systems, etc.
The reports of the participants of the scientific conference will be published in the publication "IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering," indexed in the SCOPUS international base.
We are confident that this conference contributed to the promotion of the results of scientific research, practical conclusions and developments in the field of construction in the international scientific and information space, the exchange of information and the expansion of scientific interaction.
