On the 11th of April, 2017 in the framework of the Central Asian Youth Water Forum (CAYFWater) at the Tajik agrarian university by named Sh.Shotemur was hold The National stage of International Student Contest "Integrated water resources management". The competition was held with the great support of the Ministry Science and Education of the Republic of Tajikistan, Tajik agrarian university by named Sh.Shotemur and Ministry of energy and water resources of the Republic of Tajikistan, Global Water Partnership Organization (GWP) in Tajikistan, German academic exchange service (DAAD) in Tajikistan, branch of ICWC in Tajikistan and The World Bank Group, UNESCO Chair on Water resources management in Central Asia, German-Kazakh University, Tajik agrarian university by named Sh.Shotemur and Ministry of energy and water resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In the IWRM Contest were attended 72 participants from 8 leading universities of the Republic of Tajikistan. 7 participants were proposed to complete 2 stages of the contest – written and oral exams.
In the framework of the Contest was hold scientific student workshop Water day. During the "Water Day" were conducted master-classes of experts.
The winner of the National Olympiad IWRM in Tajikistan was Khakimova Tahmina, a fourth-year student of the law faculty, Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University of Dushanbe. Those who took the second and third place were awarded with the certificates, and the winner to be invited to take part in the IWRM Regional Olympiad and the International Summer School "Methods and Tools for Assessment, Modeling and Monitoring of Water and Land Resources in Central Asia". The summer school will be held from 5 to 18 June 2017 in Kazakhstan with the support of the Regional Research Organization "Water of Central Asia" (CAWa).
Also within the framework of the National Olympiad was the Water Day - a student colloquium. Master-classes from the leading experts of Tajikistan were held on the "Water Day".
Experts Rakhmatilloev R and Eshmirzoyev made presentations about water resources of the Tajikistan among students/participants, after each presentation, participants actively asked experts questions. At the student colloquium, three students made presentations:
1. Boboeva Shohsanam - "Monitoring of water resources and ways to improve it in Tajikistan", Tajik Technical University by named M.S.Osimi;
2. Khusrav Bobishoev - "International legal basis for water and energy resources management in Central Asian countries", Russian-Tajik Slavic University;
3. Jobir Abdulloen - "Features of the formation of the Kafarnigan river basin," Tajik agrarian university by named Sh.Shotemur.
