Online International Conference 2022 - 2023 “The Silk Road of Knowledge: Science Meets Green Policy”

‣ One of the 6 thematic sessions (February 22-24, 2022) "Empowering women in the energy sector in Central Asia" will be held on February 23, from 16:00 until 17:30

‣ This thematic session will discuss barriers and opportunities for women’s empowerment in the energy sector in Central Asia, including in light of the job creation potential of renewable energy deployment in the region.

‣ Findings of a policy brief developed by the Kazakh-German University (DKU) & the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and a survey conducted by the OSCE, the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET), and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) on women’s participation in the sustainable energy sector in Central Asia will also be discussed.

Languages of the conference: English, Russian (simultaneous translation).
